Bowling and I met about a week ago. We met for coffee and caught up. This was well needed. I have been stressing out about trying to find and internship and just what to do this summer. I have also thought about coaching high school football again the summer. So he was just helpful in giving me advice and said that an internship would be valuable for me and that I should go that route. I always have the ability to coach when I want. It was definitely what I needed to hear. And it was just really helpful.

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like the meeting with Bowling a week ago for coffee was well needed, since you have been stressing out about trying to find an internship and your summer plans. It is interesting that you were thinking about coaching high school football this summer. I played high school football in high school. I was a fullback and I scored 4 touchdowns, Go Raiders! Coaches are important for the team's success. I'm happy Bowling was really helpful.

ReplyDeleteBowling is quite a name. It is great that he is able to give you insight on important decisions like that. Just trust in God's plan for you and pray about your decision. I'm sure whatever you end up doing, that it will be a fun summer. Can't wait to live with you next year.

ReplyDeleteIf this is the same Bowling that I think it is, then you've got a very good mentor, and I'm assuming even a better coach. Keep trusting in the Lord and the plans that he has for you. Have faith that his plans for you are good.
Love Bowling. It's awesome that you reconnected with him and that he offered you something that you really find a passion in. I hope that you are able to find and internship that you enjoy but if not that you will enjoy coaching just as much if not more. Hopefully you can build relationships and connects through that.
