I got a chance to meet with Peter again this past week. It is crazy to think that he won't be apart of our Younglife team anymore. He has done so much for Naperville and its high school students, which truly inspires me. It has honestly inspired me to think about my future and what kind of legacy i want to leave. I want to make an impact like Peter did, and not just go through the motions.
As Peter and i were talking, he brought up the fact that he's nervous and anxious to start his new career in marketing. He honestly doesn't know what to expect, considering he was a BITH major and then immediately did YL out of college. Something he said really stuck with me though. He said he was nervous to start this new journey of life, but not scared in the slightest because he knows God is with him and will lead him through his journey. He also said how God will never get you out of anything, but he'll get you through anything. I love that quote, because it's so true. As i am in a season of waiting, it is easy to get frustrated and anxious about what the future holds. But i can be confident because i know God has a plan for me and will lead me through anything and everything. I can't thank Peter enough for everything he's done for me.
